Working with Schools
Every week a group of special needs students from St Christopher’s School in Bristol visit the ASHA Centre.
Here they participate in therapeutic gardening activities, including fence-making, seed-planting and feeding the chickens and goats. They say it is the best part of their week.
Other schools from Britain and abroad also use the Centre’s garden to help enrich their students’ lives. Without exception they say that their lives have been transformed and that every person should have the opportunity to grow their own food and take active responsibility for protecting the environment.
