Tongues of Fire Youth Theatre is a pioneering company, working with young people
both internationally and in the UK to produce plays of truly outstanding quality. Its
mission is to inspire and unite teenagers all over the world through the process of
rehearsing and performing plays. Past productions have proved its value, both as a
vehicle for cross-cultural bridge-building and a source of high-quality theatre.
Local Projects. Tongues of Fire also works locally with young people in Gloucestershire.
Numerous teenagers have taken part in productions that have delighted audiences
with their depth and inventiveness. In 2009, Tongues of Fire became the resident youth
theatre of The Picturedrome Theatre in Gloucester, where it runs weekly classes and stages
regular plays.
Working with People with Special Needs. As part of its local outreach policy, Tongues of Fire collaborates with The Grange Camphill Village, a community for people with special needs. Members of The Grange, mixed together with young people from outside, have created a number of memorable productions.
