The ASHA Centre brings individuals together in a community environment, where they can work, learn and create as a team. The Centre bonds people by encouraging them through their inhibitions and prejudices to an experience of openness and unity, using the performing arts.
“Tongues of Fire Youth Theatre”, ASHA’s resident theatre company, works with a variety of groups from Britain and abroad, helping them to overcome obstacles on their journey to self-awareness and artistic excellence. Nothing unites people more than the profound experience of rehearsing and performing a play.
Groups usually stay at the Centre for three to four weeks. During this time, they learn to connect with their inner selves, while also gaining skills in movement and speech which helps build lasting confidence.
