St Christopher's is a residential School for children and young people aged 5 to 19 who have severe and complex learning difficulties, Autism or profound and multiple learning difficulties. They all have very special requirements for their care and education.

Many of the pupils have language and communication disorders, some have physical disabilities and some display challenging behaviour. Some of the additional conditions are autistic spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Rett's Syndrome and Angelman's Syndrome.
