‘Life changing bridges can be built from one human
being to another and to the world through fostering the
emergence of the true self within the life of the soul.’
The Building Bridges & Oasis Foundation, joined with the Calyx Trust (2008), is a Charitable Company, Limited by Guarantee. It is established to support group activities that create a vessel for the healing encounter between human beings, and to foster individual and social development. The Trust’s activities are inspired by Anthroposophy, originally developed by Rudolf Steiner Ph.D. (1861-1925), philosopher, cognitive scientist, social innovator and founder of Steiner-Waldorf Education.
The training has evolved from many years experience in facilitating groups that explore how illness may enable the emergence of latent inner resources, so providing opportunities for positive change and self realisation. These groups have often taken place in the context of anthroposophic general practice and clinical settings.
Activities include the facilitation of group-work fororganisations, individuals and communities in the form of Oasis support groups and Building Bridges retreats, and the provision of training for the above activities.
The Oasis Group Facilitation Applied Training will be hosted by the Asha Centre in Gloucestershire, which is dedicated to fostering interfaith relationships. This Centre is situated in a beautiful rural setting in the Forest of Dean offering a supportive and nourishing environment, conducive to creative learning and community experience.

“Healing conditions will only be achieved
when in the reflective human soul
the formative power of the whole community
is living and when in the community there
is manifest the strength of the single soul.”
The motto of the Social Ethic by Rudolf Steiner
